Perry Parts

If you haven’t yet heard of Perry Parts, we have a treat for you. First of all, we at 4Link4WD love to support small, innovative businesses. Perry Parts is exactly that!

Patrick, the owner of Perry Parts, found a problem and figured out how to solve it. Factory foam bump stops do work, but they are extremely basic and typically meant for road use which is how 99% of these vehicles will be used. This means that if you take your vehicle offroad with factory bump stops, you’re pushing the limits of what they can do. Hitting a rock, bump, or coming off a ledge will force the axle up quickly and all of that energy has the final destination of the bump stop. A factory style bump stop simply doesn’t have the durability or properties to hold up to the abuse of off-roading.

So to solve this problem, Patrick figured out a completely kind of bump stop- new design, new material, new way to make them. His designs have been tested in both extreme use and also under controlled laboratory conditions. The result are bump stops that directly replace the factory bumps, which require no fabrication or extra changes.

While being simple to replace, their performance is exactly what the off-roader needs. They are durable and able to absorb impacts in ways that traditional bump stops just can’t handle. In order to fully understand how these work, go watch our video talking about the bump stops and also check out PerryParts.com.

We recently installed a set of these on a Jeep Wrangler JKU, so you can see that process here! It requires some basic tools (and patience) but overall it is pretty simple. Don’t forget: always practice proper safety when working with a vehicle on jack stands or a jack. They can and do fall off!
